This is the fourth time the Ministry of Transport has organized this conference, this is considered an annual activity to support and solve difficulties in the operation of businesses, contributing to improving the quality of services, declaring efficient exploitation of sea transport and seaports, maritime services.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong said that the conference will help the Ministry of Transport and its agencies to better understand the business and production situation of enterprises. shipping industry, ports, from which proposed appropriate policies, especially the Vietnam Maritime Administration is drafting many circulars and documents related to the activities of maritime enterprises, from It will collect opinions directly to consider adjusting, in order to create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to operate.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Sang, Director of Vietnam Maritime Administration, assessed that this conference has attracted the attention of numerous businesses throughout the country.

To date, the Ministry of Transport has collected 84 questions and recommendations from enterprises, including 30 questions on concerns related to ports and navigational channels, and 18 questions on related questions. Regarding the shipping group, 21 questions about problems related to the group on prices, fees, charges, 15 questions about problems related to administrative procedures.

At the conference, among the recommendations, a number of issues emerged such as: Port group: Port infrastructure, dredging of navigational channels, backlog of goods at seaports, port authorities, management and exploitation and supervision of seaport planning and port group ….

Group of shipping development policies, recommendations focusing on development policies of shipping, shipping fleets; investment capital for enterprise development; solutions to improve transport market share; train human resources, crew members; control vehicle load.

Prices, charges, and fees group: Prices for services of loading and unloading cargo, pilots and towage; goods charges and fees; fuel prices; list of import tax reduction for ship building and repair equipment ….

The group of administrative procedures, businesses focused on the issues of continuing to reform administrative procedures at seaports, customs procedures, coordination mechanism between state inspection agencies at ports to reduce procedures. administrative for business.

Regarding specific ideas at the conference, Mr. Trinh Quoc Dat, Chairman of Diem Dien – Thai Binh Shipping Association said that two years ago, the association had many ideas and up to now, the Ministry of Transport has been present. Transportation, Vietnam Maritime Administration removed such reforms to withdraw administrative procedures at some seaports, thereby helping businesses reduce costs and time.
